Bridge Text-to-Speech

How to Use Bridge

Bridge is a very unique platform that allows students and children to hold up objects and identify them. Here's how to use it.

Open this link in a new tab.

After you have opened up this link, click the play button to run the code.

If you experience the following errors, everything is okay, just let it continue to run:

1. ERROR: pip's dependency resolver does not currently take into account all the packages that are installed. This behavior is the source of the following dependency conflicts. google-colab 1.0.0 requires requests==2.32.3, but you have requests 2.31.0 which is incompatible. pymc 5.16.2 requires rich>=13.7.1, but you have rich 13.5.2 which is incompatible.

2. ERROR: pip's dependency resolver does not currently take into account all the packages that are installed. This behavior is the source of the following dependency conflicts. inference-sdk 0.17.0 requires supervision 1.0.0,>=0.20.0, but you have supervision 0.19.0rc3 which is incompatible. [10/22/24 20:30:07] WARNING Your inference package version 0.9.12rc1 is out of date! Please upgrade __init__.py:35 to version 0.24.0 of inference for the latest features and bug fixes by running pip install --upgrade inference.

If you receive this error, that just means that you have to allow Google Colab to use your camera.

NotAllowedError: The request is not allowed by the user agent or the platform in the current context, possibly because the user denied permission.

Note:

Please note that if you click the "Additional Resources" button, it will take you to a page that allows students to trace the letters of the alphabet on their screen so they can practice their handwriting.

Also, the Google Colab code might not be compatible on devices with more than one camera.

Finally, the Google Colab will take about one minute to load. However, once it is loaded, it will take about 22 seconds to take another image as long as you do not refresh the page.
